Move Without Damage: Protect Your Belongings When Moving in NJ
How rigid, stackable bins keep your things from being crushed or damaged, and how to pack them for an easy, clean move in New Jersey.
Why things get damaged on moving day
Most moving damage comes from three things: boxes that crush under the weight of a stack, boxes that tear or go soggy in damp weather, and items that shift and knock together inside half-empty boxes. Rigid plastic bins with lids solve all three.
How BinMule bins protect your things
- Strong and stackable. Rigid walls and snap-on lids keep their shape under a full stack.
- Clean and dry. Every bin is wiped before it reaches you, and the lid keeps out dust, damp and pests.
- Easy to carry. Firm handles and matching sizes make bins quick to load, unload and move room to room.
- Nothing to throw away. No tape, no flattening, no pile of broken cardboard afterwards. We collect the bins when you are done (within 10 miles of Elmwood Park, NJ (07407)).
Pack to avoid damage
- Heavy things in small bins. Books, tools and kitchenware go in smaller bins so every bin stays easy to lift.
- Wrap and fill. Wrap fragile items in towels or clothing and fill gaps so nothing slides.
- Do not overfill. The lid should close flat so bins stack safely.
- Heavy at the bottom. Stack heavier bins first and lighter ones on top.
- Label by room. Add a QR label, a photo and a list, so you unpack room by room.
Make moving day easier
- Stack bins by room near the door the night before.
- Keep a "first night" bin with essentials: medication, chargers, toiletries and bedding.
- Use our moving checklist and bin count guide.
